LAMBERTO'S HOME Florence
Description
Although this beautiful structure was originally constructed in the 12th century, it owes its current appearance mainly to a 17th-century renovation commissioned by the Marchese Anton Maria Bartolommei and carried out by architect Ferdinando Tacca (his signature can be found in the stunning entrance). The skilfully restored fourth-floor penthouse apartment is actually part of an antique palace in a quiet, traffic-free street.
Lamberto's House houses five en suite bedrooms and one additional half bathroom arranged in a bi-level layout, along with an elegant terrace fully equipped to dine al fresco. The house is conveniently located in the heart of historic Florence, just a few steps from Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery and Piazza della Signoria.
Accommodation
GROUND FLOOR - Elegant entryway leads into the spacious living/dining room, whose door opens to the sunny terrace. Adjoining the dining room is a twin bedroom with en suite bathroom (marble floors and counters, walk-in shower). On the left of the entryway is a fully-equipped modern kitchen with Satellite TV. A steel staircase leads from the living room to a king size room on the upper level, complete with en suite bathroom.
Across the hall is a suite with king size bed, en suite marble bathroom and Turkish bath, staircase to bathtub in loft, and large counter. In this section of the house is located the second suite, with king size bed, marble bathroom, stairs to private lofted sitting room with sofa/ day bed, 50" TV screen and large counter. The property's final bedroom features a king size bed, en suite marble bathroom with stone sink and separate shower.
