Description

In the Chianti hills southwest of Florence lies the beautiful Villa Cerello. This former hunting lodge offers fantastic panoramic views of the towns of Montaione and Castelfiorentino. Lavishly furnished in elegant Tuscan country style with many antiques, the estate includes ten, air-conditioned bedrooms with en suite bathrooms which can accommodate up to twenty guests.

Architecturally speaking, Villa Cerello is authentic and fascinating, with exposed beam ceilings, old Tuscan terracotta floors in the public rooms and specially aged parquet flooring in all the bedrooms. Additionally, a strategically placed swimming pool get superb sun exposure from sunrise to sunset and from its pristine waters guests can enjoy a sweeping Tuscan panorama. The poolside is shaded by a beautiful loggia and furnished with tasteful colonial-style teak furniture. Adjacent to the loggia is a huge open barbecue and grill area.

Accommodation

GROUND FLOOR - The Villa's ground floor is composed of reception rooms and three bedrooms. All reception rooms are spacious and comfortable. They include: a double dining area (with a main table which opens up to seat 26 comfortably and two smaller dining tables for breakfast or children), grand lounge area with fireplace and phone, sitting/reading room with satellite TV and an open fireplace, large country kitchen equipped with dishwasher, microwave, large refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker etc. The first double bedroom has en suite bath room with shower and French door looking out to the pool.

The second spacious double room includes a private hallway, bathroom with shower and French doors that open out to the garden. Finally, the third bedroom is twin, with a large private bathroom and double French windows looking out onto the lawn and surrounding olive grove. All bedrooms have private exterior access.

FIRST FLOOR - The upper floor is composed of three wings, each one with private, original Tuscan stone entrance reached via external staircase. The Northeast wing includes an elegant entryway and sleeps four in one double room with en suite bath and second double room with private entrance and private bathroom. The central wing, which includes a large lounge with open fireplace and a dining area with kitchenette, sleeps four. Its bedrooms consist of one double bedroom with en suite bathroom and one very spacious twin room also with en suite bathroom. The south wing, also home to a comfy lounge, a small sitting room (sofa bed) and dining area plus kitchenette, sleeps four in one double bedroom with private bathroom and one twin bedroom with private bathroom.

ANNEX SUITE - One large double bedroom with open fireplace, small en suite bathroom, large French doors which open onto private sun terrace, direct private steps to the pool area.

OUT-DOOR FACILITIES
16x9 meter swimming pool, whirlpool with hydro-massage, mountain bikes, outdoor furniture for al fresco dining.

Services included

Included in the weekly rental charge is a team of two housekeepers who tend to general cleaning duties twice a week.

A gardener looks after the grounds and the swimming pool. At the estate reception there is an available concierge.

Services not included

TUSCAN COOKING SCHOOL: Afternoon or evening cooking lessons with our professional Italian chef can be pre-booked at Villa le Caldine for up to 10 students.

TUSCAN MAMMAS: local 'Tuscan mammas' can prepare a continental/buffet breakfast each morning and provide meal service for either lunch or dinner. A chef is also available for either lunch or dinner each day (6 days per week).

LAUNDRY: We are pleased to offer a service for personal laundry as well as offering to arrange for any special dry cleaning requirements.

BABYSITTING SERVICE: English-speaking babysitters can be arranged.
